  • welding shock towers

back in the 80,s/ 90's we always welded our shock tower from the fender side to help stiffen up the roll we would get from running on the track, along with subframe and shock towers bracing.... is this practice still worth doing with all the new stuff that has come out scince then or not? pro's con's welcome...

I will be doing this mod on my '65 and '67. The pro's are obvious and I can't think of any reason not to do it. It's not expensive, especially if you fab your own pieces.

Watch the swap meets. There's a guy out there selling them for 12.50/pr. I was making my own until I found him.

Good to know. I'll see if I can find them at LeGrave this weekend.
