I am looking at a 90GT and was wondering if it is possilbe to switch the bumpers ground effects etc to make it look any better. I guess more like a non big bumper. The red one is the one that i am looking at. And the other car(lx) is what i more am looking for the car to be looking like..Can it be done..

if you pull the ground effects off the GT and swap the bumper covers for LX covers you end up with one exactly like the silver one.

Tons of people have done this. It's half as complicated as going Lx to GT. Google it!

You just need to buy LX front and rear bumper covers. They mount up the same way as the GTs. The side ground effects are just held on by a bunch of screws and then you will need to remove the brackets for them, which I believe are riveted on. You will also need to swap out the fender extensions (they match up the front bumper cover to the fender) from GT to LX.

Just start pulling stuff off. It's not that complicated and you'll basically walk yourself through it. If you don't know the mounting points of each panel, pick up a copy of a Chilton at PepBoys. Lots of pics and step by step.

I'd find an LX. By the time you swap everything you'll be repainting half the car.

In addition to whats been stated, You'll have to fill all the holes left by the side ground effect brackets, all the side molding is different and the front fender molding and extensions are year specific. 87-91, 91-93 if I remember correctly.

                  Tail pipes are different also.
