E6 heads are on it now. What heads and cam and RR's can I use without fly cutting pistons?

It did not, but that's what our build was thought to be. Before we cracked it open.

The size of the relief on the pistons in steve's motor are not even deep enough to make a differance . When we clayed the pistons I made the clay almost 1/4" thick and after a 360 rotation the valves barely touched the clay . I would still clay it but there was a ton of room .

Wouldn't you need to use a solid lifter or a converted hyd lifter to measure accurately?

I have a cam degree kit with light test springs . I removed the valve springs , used an old compressed gasket (for a little more safety factor) and watched very closley to make sure not to compress the lifters . But yes , if you were to leave the head assembled you would need a solid lifter to fight the springs .
