      Koer I got 26, 44 and 33.

44 and 33 are smog related?

32 is egr out of specification.

26 is mass air meter out of specification.

33 is egr not opening properly.

44 is no smog air detected on the passenger side during the self-test. You didn't get the 94 (smog...driver side) that normally accompanies it?

Either way, not related to your issue. Gas cap should be vented (though they aren't very effective), plus you should have a vent hose from the gas tank to the charcoal canister... maybe it's clogged, or the valve at the tank end is FUBAR.

Tank was smashing the vent hose, Got it fixed. And no 94 code.

I'm using a digital scan tool too.

My 90 has done this for a while too. I did change the pump a few years ago but I don't remember if it did that before or if it started doing it after.

I need to replace the sender so I guess when I do that I'll check the vent hose too.

Look them up at work and see if they're the same.
                  I think they are.

They have the same part number, but now that I remember right the fuel gauge never worked right in my 89, I'm not sure why either. The low fuel light would come on when it was low, and it would read full any other time, but it would go down to empty when the light was on.

But I'll tell you this, it takes me all of 15 minutes to drop a tank now. Lol

If you wanna try it I'll give it to ya, or we could trade my junk for your junk. Lol!

The emissions port on the back of the passenger side cylinder head is probably clogged up then. Else your o2 sensor on that side is on its way out and isn't sensitive enough to measure the lean condition created during the test... At any rate, no big deal.

                      Glad you got it fixed.

My coupe's tank does this pretty bad also. Specially when I run it low on fuel. I run an Aeromitive pump on mine. I don't run any smog equipment on my car so I don't think that has anything to do with it. Where exactly does is this vent hose you guys mention?

Right in front if where the stock fuel pump plugs in, it has a white cap/plug with a hose off of it. It runs from there all the way to the front of the car to the evap canister.

It goes rubber, to steel to hard plastic back to rubber. There are two hoses off of the evap canister, one to the tank and the other runs up to the bottom of the upper intake manifold, behind the distributor.

what if my car doesn't have the evap. canister anymore?

Maybe the line that went to it it plugged? Not sure to be honest. The line runs alongside the passenger sub frame with the fuel lines.

there should be a vent tube on top of the tank and it sometimes gets pinched.
