I disagree with all of that.
Thanks lol What would you recommend then? Yeah it's full time AWD and from what I've read they are pretty bullet proof. Not saying I'm going to rock crawl it or anything but for what I might need it for it'll do the job. I believe the distribution is 35f-65r unless more is needed.

I would install a full exhaust system, a cai, and a real suspension lift. Although I'm not sure about lifted explorers because I agree with this:

It's not just a body lift. I'm putting a 2in suspension lift. A "real" suspension kits (which all I've found are 4in) cost $1800. I'm having a buddy port the heads/intake. E cams are cheap and I'm not looking for a 360 hp motor. 4 in isn't that much of a lift. Plus the bigger tires will do better keeping it planted. It's not like one just rolls for no reason. I just want it tall enough to put some bigger meats on it. Again, I'm not using it for mudding/crawling or anything crazy.

No, I want good advice relevant to what I want to do with the vehicle. And not just your own one sentence opinions but why. I'm open to different lift suggestions, different tires and different motor modifications. I am doing full exhaust, CAI and bigger T/B. But specific brands and combos would be helpful.

I could also do video, although my "good" equipment is more oriented towards photography haha. I have a Canon 60D (18MP DSLR, also shoots High Def video) which I primarily use for photography but would have no problem shooting video with. I also have a few smaller cameras: A gopro video camera, an Olympus Stylus tough, and a Sony Handycam.
