  • Removing bearings from hubs

    I am trying to get some old bearings out of some front ATV hubs... ive tried everything and can not get them to budge.

    Any suggestions?

    I had this a week or so ago...youll have to beat the piss out of the race, if it just wont happen, you need to heat the hub to get it to expand and release the race easier...be patient

      One of the bearings completely fell apart and the only part left is the outer race... hardly anything to grab onto.

            Get you a MAPP gas torch, skip the propane. Just watch out, mapp gas is VERY hot.

              same thing here...suzuki ltr i what i was doing...it can be done...heat will help though

                Once you heated it what did you use to PULL it out.

                  I didnt heat mine, I have a rather large assortment of chisels/punches. I kept at it and they came out...PATIENCE lol
