  • 2006 navigator pulsating brake problem

When braking the whole truck will jerk back and forth. I already had the rotors turned and that did not solve the problem. Then I replaced the pads in the front with EBC green stuff pads, problem still as bad as before but brakes a lot better. Any suggestions on what else to look for? Ford mechanics or experience with this please chime in.

Thanks and sorry if the grammar sucks, its posted from my android.

sounds like rear rotors are warped. did you turn all of them or just the front?

I only had the front brakes turned. Is it common for the rear rotors to be warped? I'm trying to find out if there are common issues that I can check out. Good point though, thanks

rear could be warped, also just cause theyre fresh turned doesnt mean they were turned true

I had the front done at oriellys so I'm no sure if they did it right. I'll check into the rears.

Also, my brother bought a set of speakers for his 06 expedition. I looked at the wiring diagram and it seems like a simple set up. Is this just plug and play? I'm putting them in this afternoon so if you have advice let me know. I've never messed with the newer Ford set ups.

          Thanks

youll have to splice if you dont have the adapters, but no its not hard at all

Sweet. Spliced in boustn acoustic sc85's and they sound perfect. Easy install. How about replacing the factory sub?

try EW, I havent messed with any of those myself. Also, if Oreilly did those rotors, i bet they arent true...every machine ive seen in those places have a bent shaft from goons over tightening them...if they even chucked it up right!

bent spindle can cause similar problems, but check rears deffinately, especially if someone left on a park brake a few times
