I never could get a window switch to work correctly with my Zex system. You need a bottle heater when the outside temp is below 65 degrees. If the sun is hitting the bottle or the inside of the car gets to 100 degrees the bottle pressure will be perfect. Anything much over that and you will be purging down the pressure to 1000 or less. So yes, you need a purge as well. Due to the temp fluctuations we have here in Tx you need both the heater and purge. Run a non projected tip spark plug that is 2 heat ranges colder than stock. Change a plug right before you make a pass on the bottle. Turn off the car and coast to a stop, pull a plug and replace it with an old plug. Post pics of the plug. I would start with a 75 shot and stock timing. If you hear detonation, lift. After the run you can cut apart the plug and see all you need to know. Read the strap, inspect the porcelain for detonation, look for the fuel ring. Most likely it will be rich. You cant read the plugs if you keep the car running back to the pits. It must be changed for a new plug in the staging lanes, and the car must be shut off right after crossing the finish line. Do this and you will enjoy it for a long time safely.

you launch at 3500 on drag radials and it hooks equals lot's of bogging out of the hole, better step up the rpm on the lauch if you want to get it moving. I made 4 passes, in the mustang, on 315\35-17 555r's a couple friday's ago at sanger. Auto car with a best of 1.74 60 ft 7.27 eighth mile @98 mph. Bogged the car pretty bad with no spin, tried to bring it up on the converter the next three which resulted in blowing the tires out at the line. M/T for the win, however the street miles will suck. As far as the bottle goes, I recommend the purge for the wet kit to get the initial air from the lines when you turn it on. Get a bottle blanket to protect it from the sun and heat, never leave the bottle on when not in use(the solenoids don't hold a perfect seal, if nitrous creeps into the intake tract while the car is off, when you start it there could be a nasty nitrous backfire) Make sure the nitrous solenoid has the filter screen on the inlet side and clean it periodically, the sulfur in the nitrous will clog it over time, or run a dedicated inline nitrous filter in the system. And no bottle below 2000 rpm, 2500 to be safe. Other than that it's easy, a blast, and fun. Bottle pressure is more critical on a wet kit than a dry kit, the heater will help you maintain an even pressure. My regal usually makes about 5 or 6 passes 1\8th mile on a 10 pound bottle with a 125hp hit. I usually only purge at the beginning of the night or if I've turned the bottle off and cleared the line. It's a lot of fun for sure.
