I need some input.
Here is the back story.
C4 trans behind a late model 5.0. When we installed it the trans shook awful. It shook in park, gear, sitting still, driving, etc. No change. It shifts fine just shakes the shifter, steering wheel, seat, the whole damn car. I mean, its bad.
We first though it was the flywheel since we bought one to go from the small bell C4 to the 50oz 5.0. But we ran the engine without the TQ and it was smooth.
So here is what I did find and now I believe it is causing the problem.
I found that the pilot snout on the TQ is about .012 larger than the hole in the crank so its not slipping it. This is causing the TQ to be compacted into the trans pump.
I imagine it would but can anyone confirm that this would cause the shake? Or do I have other problems?
Another question, is it common to have the snout turned down so it fits?
And here is a little eye candy. One of my ex crazy chicks.
Thanks.
