A fuel rail and website has nothing to do with being able to machine a block or heads properly.

          lol WHAT??!!

I asked him to drill out a carb intake for me to run EFI and gave him a FAST rail to get injector spacing and angle. He didnt know what a fuel injector, rail or the fact that his site advertises this job. Sorry a very basic requirement for a engine shop is to understand the parts that make up the engine.

Like I said, the guy is a total joke. I guess if you race roundy round and need a 3/4 race cam then go see him.

I’ve known Bud Morgan for about twenty years, him and his dad thought me basically everything I know and many years ago I used to work for them off and on. I drove their cars and customers cars for years and did all the building on my own motor and the one I was driving. I have seen plenty of motors come through there that were originally built by other people.
Some of what I saw was pitiful and just stupid shit.
I would recommend Bud to do anything you need and if and when I decide to build me another motor he will do the machine work on it regardless of price. I’m very picky and I know it will be done right.

I won’t post anything negative about anyone shop except for Kim Barr, the dude is a joke professionally and personally and I’m really amazed he’s been able to stay in business this long.

Someone posted about having a problem some work with Metroplex machine, I’ve known Rick for many years and have seen plenty of his work. I really have a hard time believing the motor not lasting was caused by something he did and even then if you took it back to him I’m sure he made it right.

Dennis wells and Max long have both been around for many years and both do good work.

I have no comment about Arlington machine or Wayne Calvert
I just dropped my motor off with morgan today, Very nice guys over there and the lady in the office is nice and she knows her shit too

Per Green Bullitt's recommendation, I had Watts racing fix a lot of the machine work from Houston Performance. I was pleased with how he runs his shop!

Ring seal is relevant to the bore and final hone for his ring pack...you also can't run a car fat on initial break as ring washout occurs rather quickly and takes forever to get the rings to seal if it all. I'd be curious to hear both sides because im sure no one wants to accept blame.

Mike, the car had pretty bad blow-by from the minute it started. I didn't get to see it before running, but from what I understand- the hone was prett bad. I think Bud even commented on the previous finish as bieng pretty bad.
