Yes and a much better head. They flow better out of the box, and with a small amount of port work, are incredible!! the port design is also much better.. you would need to buy the cnc version victor jr to be a comparable to the afr 205, so at that price point you are are level grounds... What vehicle is this in?
95 gt
Afr205 around 1,800
Victor jr 1,400
Fox lake stage 1 victor jr 1,595
It's an air pump that'll crack in half if you spin it too hard
...and where's the love for High Ports???
IDK !!!those are definitely some badass heads, old school or not !

I'd say vic jr's, those are going on my 306 with a little spray.
I'd say it would run good on a decent amount of spray, but it would be a turd on motor, unless its a big cam, hc motor. You need about a 170cc head to run good on a pump gas 306 motor.

Yes, I build RACING engines.
I've got a cast iron head 355 that's tagged at 420+ BHP and its a daily driver.
I'm not tryin to BS anyone, I'm just tryin to say that the HP is there, ya just gotta
Get the right set up and equipment.
Tip #1: start looking at some of the cars running in Stock class NHRA ! They fly and their stock !!!!!!!
I doubt it unless its either (a) got a power adder or (b) a serious race type engine.
460-480 crank hp from 306 cid is asking a lot from an engine regardless of design. You are talking a 7500 rpm, solid roller, high compression setup or using a power adder.
the 2011 GT's are making over 400 to the tire with simple bolt ons all day with only 302ci
I would look for a set of used Victor Jr heads that can be bought bare, or new heads that are bare. Upgrade with the correct springs for your camshaft application. The AFR's and the Vic Jr's will get your 347 to 400rwhp with the correct camshaft, compression, exhaust size, and intake. If you were patient I'll bet you could find some used Vic Jr heads bare for about $700-$800, throw some LaFerra or similar valves, plus a set of springs for $1100-1300. Everything will be fresh, and the springs will match your camshaft exactly. Keep the compression at 10.5 or 11.0. Put a converted Vic Jr or Vic intake with elbow, and 90mm tb. Throw some 1 3/4 headers in the mix and you will easily get your 400 rwhp. Better locate a good tuner or figure it out for yourself first. You will def need it to make that combo a civil daily driver.
There ya go ! If its a daily driver, hyd roller
Weekend warrior or racecar, solid roller !
PM me for any other Q&A's.
Somethings are not for the weak to hear !!!!
LOL !
Who do you build "RACING" engines for? spill the beans or shut the fuck up about it.
Hell I just made 550+ flywheel threw EQ heads and a q~jet on a 350. twisting a flat tappet 7.5k.
You can make power out of anything.
was wondering where you were
