I'm trying to get an idea of how a 275/40 on a 17x8" wheel will look. Post your pictures if you can! thanks!

hate to say it, but check out corral and mustangforums....

I think that's where I saw plenty of those pictures when I was asking the same questions. If you good 17x8 + 275 tires and check out the images you get some good leads too.

I've got Nitto 275 40 on my 17 x 8 wheels, it fits fine. Nittos run a bit more narrow then most tires. I'll have to get some pics up of it later (probably Saturday), don't have any on this pc.

That's what I have on there now but I've got a little too much gap in the rear wheel well even with "C" springs. I may just have to buy some adjustable height lower control arms instead.

The 275s above do look nice though. Interested in seeing the Nittos...

Well is it sunk in to far, or is too high? I had once considered buying nice spacers to account for the gap in the rear on 275s with the 99-04s.

I used to run Nitto 275's on my 17x8 wheels. I would only do it on the rears, but they didn't look bad at all.

Jon, what year is your stang? If you don't have 91-93 fenders, the 275's will rub in the front when near full lock. I had 255's or 265's (can't remember) on my 90 and they wore a hole thru the fenderwell.

If you already changed that, then n/m.

Yeah, I decided against the 275s. Just gonna do 255s all around for now and maybe step up to a 275 rear tire eventually. Mine's an 89, BTW.

Go with the 275's on the rear now. I have 255's all around now on my 90. Looked way cooler with the 245's on front and 275's on the rears. Thinking about selling the current tire/wheel combo to get widder rear and narrower front set-up. Looking at the 17x6.5 and 17x10 pony R's.
