I've been looking around for a engine management system. I was leaning towards a XFI but I've been reading good reviews about the holley. Does anyone here have one?

I've never used one, but I seem to remember hearing they are HP limited in some form or fashion because of the size injectors they'll drive? or something along those lines.
Something that may be of interest, look at Megasquirt - they offer lots of PNP systems. For that matter, they offer lots of non-PNP systems too..usually for about half the price of the big names.

I've been reading online but I was trying to find someone local that has it installed. Here is a link on yellowbullet..
Does the megasquirt work well?

I can't comment on the Holley, never installed one.
Megasquirt, I'll say this - it's a major pain in the ass to assemble one if you are planning on doing that (you can buy them pre-assembled).
Once you get it all hooked up, it's just like any other system. The one I did worked flawlessly. I just bought another one for MY car. It will have 16 injectors, built in boost control, sequential, COP etc..ALL of it was 1300$ unassembled.

Megasquirt works awsome BUT it requires the person doing the install and tuning to understand up front what they want. Unless you buy a plug and play or prebuilt setup then your looking at soldering and setting it up in different ways.
If I had been the one that started the megasquirt project, I would have done things alot different like put all the info in one spot. Its a learning curve before you even get to learning to use the tuning software. IMO, the cost alone is worth it though.

It has 3 different ways to control it too, one is JUST like the MSD control setup (from the GUI aspect at least)...
It's simply badass to have all of that shit in ONE unit ....Oh, and it's bluetooth capable too.

Thats cool, as soon as I get a new project I may have to catch up with it. I forgot about the onboard mapdaddy sensor. My biggest problem with MS other than the info scattered around the net, was the lack of tech support. The forums have a tendacy to treat you like an idiot and there are no retailers excpet DIYautotune.com that will help out that Im aware of.
Oh and when I asked tuners in the area (no I forgot to ask HPP) if they would mess with it I never got responses. My only guess was because it was MS and not FAST/BS3

Agreed, the info is scattered - but I found that if you read all of the megamanual and ALL of the links to various types of ignition, fueling etc.. it's pretty much all there.
If you can assemble one, you can certainly tune one! no need to be at the mercy of a tuner with one of these things.
