I went and had new tires put on my wifes G6 today and also had an alighment done being the tire wear on the old tires showed it was needed. The tire shop called and said the car needed new shocks/struts so I told them I would take care of that issue. They went ahead with the new tires and an alighment....Went and picked up the car and on the way home noticed it hummed worse with the new tires then the old wore/cupped tires..Took it back to tire shop where of course they told me it was because it was a cheaper house brand tire. I could beleive this to a point but this humming is very loud and like nothing I have heard from a cheap tire...I am thinking the balancing is not correct or they did not do a good alignment on it...The question is: If the red mark is not lined up with the valve stem can that cause issues? One of the marks is 180 off of the valve stem...

Just went to the store as a passenger in the car...From really listening it sounds as if it is only coming from the right front wheel...Going to look at that area tomorrow before heading back to the tire shop...The noise sounds like a true mud tire on the payment....Humming starts at around 30 and gets louder the faster you go and then level changes when coming to a stop...

By the way, just because there isn't play in the wheel doesn't mean you don't have a bad wheel bearing.
If the manager from yesterday would have looked into the issue instead of blaming it on cheap tires then I wold have this issue corrected already....
