  • Dart heads any good for a 350.

Just kicking these around for the Vette. Any red flags? If I convert to carb and vacuum dizzy I might do the heads to.

dart isnt a bad head, the sr torquer is an entry level head. They obviously need to be rebuilt and depending what you need, could cost alot...whats a new set of s/r's cost now? there are no pics of the chamber, could be evident cracks too

I thought the S/R stood for stock replacement head? If you are wanting a cast iron head, go with a 200 cc Iron Eagle. Ideally, I would find a set of used clean aluminum heads to save some weight and make a little more power.

it is a "stock replacement" but will still do a little better than a true stocker. Vortec would be the head I would chose for a budget build sbc. You can buy a new set for 500 already fitted with threaded rocker studs

Sooo I took the Vette to a friend of mine today that owns a shop and told him to fix the misfire issue. He called me an hour later and wanted the title. LOL I am going to look for an 80 Vette with no computer or a chrome bumper car after I save a little more and finish the Bronco.
