  • Problem with door locks. They try so hard, but just can't make it!!

I have a 99 Mustang the wife is about to start driving. I just put a new battery in it thinking juice may be the issue, but still...when you hit the key Fob or even the lock and unlock button inside the car, it makes the noise on both doors and the little locks jump up a little...just not enough to unlock or lock the car. What gives?

Is there a regulator that controlls both doors that needs replacing??

    Any help would be great!

Had the same problem on the driver side door of my 2000 GT.

Weird that both sides went out since the passenger door doesn't get as much use...just odd.

        Thanks, guys!

Are they hard to replace? I've had the skin off my 2000 before...not a lot of room back there!

Whenever you are walking to your car and keep hitting the unlock button. That burns them up. Also walking away locking.

Shit, as much as I do that I figure mine can't be far from dead.

either the actuators are bad, or just need a little grease... they tend to get dry and can jamb up a little..
