2000 Expedition question

Anyone know how to turn the interior lights off when opening the back hatch? I want to open it at the drive in theater but can't find any kind of switch to turn them off. Manual says nothing.

I looked on a few boards and no one really has an answer. It is like Ford forgot to make a switch.

They go off after a while by themselves.

Any idea how long? I guess I never thought about leaving it open for more than a couple minutes.

That is what I will do, or close the latch on the hatch. Just thought there might be something more convenient.

It was like 5-10 minutes. It is in the manual.

You may be able to scroll the dimmer switch all the way down until it clicks and they might go off. It may only work on newer ones.
