Last time I did the cap and rotor it was all good But Figure I can check it again in the morning.
I had just thought about it and it's Been some miles now sense I replaced the cap and rotor
And I know these trucks do not like work caps at all.
If it turns out so easy I well Kick My Own Ars.

OK so I didnt wait you got me to thinking so I had to go look.

First off I got no Brown wire to pull off My Dizzy only thing it there is a magnetic pickup for cam position.
second I think I got something missing here.

and I think this is a problem to

      what do you think?

OK new cap and rotor took care of the stall and truck runs good again.
Now I need to replace the 4 o2's on her and run some seafoam threw her and she should be good as new again.

                  I have replaced
                  Mass Flow Sensor
                  Throttle Position Sensor
                  Fuel Regulator
                  Fuel Filter
                  and Idle Air Control Valve

                  What am I missing?QUOTE]

What you are missing is a lot of money from your wallet resulting from replacing parts without troubleshooting first. When I was younger I did the same thing but have since learned to determine the bad part first and replace only what is needed.

I did not just start replacing part I started with pulling trouble codes which gave me a list of codes a mile long and proceeded from there.

So you Must be what 50 years old?
Hope so because I am 43 and have enough automotive and diesel certificates to wall paper My living room walls.

I'm 29, and I would've just popped the cap. A yearly tune up is cheap insurance on old distributor driven cars.

I'm younger than you by 1 year but it hardly matters. Age and enough certifications to paper your walls don't make you better at diagnosing a problem either. Experience, a good eye for details, and quality troubleshooting skills will save you $$$ and keep your vehicles running correctly.

I'm not knocking you friend. There's nothing wrong with replacing parts that you want to replace if that's what you want to do.
