  • Cummins Clutch kit?

Im thinking about using this clutch kit for my 2006 1 ton Dodge.... anyone using this kit, or have any opinions about this clutch kit? This kit is $822 with the new solid flywheel, which seems pretty reasonable to me on the price.

fuck that, won't hold enough power... go for the gusto... an 06 will make some damn good power with just a programmer. Might as well take advantage of that ability!

This is a work truck, I have a couple other things to beat on when I feel the need. Just need to get it replaced pretty quick. Its got a bad vibration at an idle, most likely something broke in the dual mass setup. I got 91,000 out of the original clutch with some abuse here and there.

I would NEVER put a Valair clutch in anything i drove, Every truck pull I have been to that had a valair clutch driven truck, ended up being towed out due to burning up their most aggressive clutch, Not driver error, crap parts IMO.

        Southbend FTW!

Southbend prices dont suit my wallet right now... the cheapest kit I could find was north of $1200 for an oem replacement!

But remember, you get what you pay for. The extra money spent to ease my mind is well worth it.

What he said, Bob and I put a oem clutch in my truck because I was short on funds, sure enough about 3 weeks later I was slipping it again.
