On a 86 mustang with originally a v6 car. When putting in a 302 do you need to change the k member to a v8 or will the v6 work the same. Reason I ask is because I left the v6 in mine and it seemed to shift everything forward like a half inch to a inch. And I am wondering if that is throwing my drive shaft angle off causing the 65 + vibration. I have had the drive shaft balanced new u joints swapped out rearend thinking that was it. But it is still doing it.

I don't think thats the reason . I have done more than one swap with the v6 k and had no issues . My 86 vert was a v6 and now has a 351 and I have no problem . I couldn't tell you if there even is a differance between the 4cy , v6 and v8 . The i6 is different but I have swapped v8's onto both the v6 and 4cyl k's with no problems .Big Rooster Racing
