Do you want to strengthen the seat or the floorpan?

well I guess the seat. the floorpan has been secured by the subframe connectors with extra brackets atached. It's the seat back im concerned about. The seats are nice and straight right now but over time I don't want the seat back to lean one way or another. I was thinking of welding some supports under the seat cover and making them more ridged but if anyone knows of a aftermarket anything i would love to have it.

Gotcha, I was going to suggest the subframes with extra brackets. I have broken 2 floorpans but I don't think I've messed up any seats yet.

This is a sleeper car and saw some aftermarket seats that matched what i have now but without adjustable seat backs, but I sure as hell aint forkin out a G for them to look stock. I guess it can wait for now. I have more pressing isuues like T-top and window seals. Late model resto loves my money

Foureyedpride.com has lots of articles about fixing the seats. From what I've read, they mainly lean because the spotwelds break. I suppose you could remove the covers and weld up these places before the welds break.
