  • 1989 460 efi speed density. Can this be dyno tuned?

It is in a '78 Bronco with ported F3TE heads, comp cam, 3/4 length headers, etc. Nothing exciting performance wise, but it has enough improved top end performance to cause a lean issue with some clattering. Fuel pressure is fine when it leans out, so I am pretty sure the fuel system is OK

EFI is from a E350 van. The engine runs flawlessly, no codes or issues other than the top end lean out.

Can the lean out issue be resolved with a dyno tune on these OLD EEC's? Any suggestions on a shop?

Yes it can, but you will need the ecm name. For example mine is LHBLO for my Lightning and CBAZA for my cobra. Then you will need to obtain a strategy file in order to make changes. Burn a chip and that's it. I have a chip burner and can help you out, but you will need to figure out the ecm name, and then see if there is a strategy file available for purchase.

Does it have an E4OD tranny? I'll bet you could use the AHACB strategy. Look on the computer ands see what it's name is. Look for something like VEX1, WAY1, HOG0, HOG1, BIO1, ...............

I'd use something like a Tweecer type chip and software.

Doesn't sound right. Lets see a pic of the bar code and surrounding writing on that computer.
