  • electrical tape instead of spring iso's

I've always heard of people doing this, but does it actually do anything? Considering that poly or rubber iso's are made pretty thick just to do their job, how can electrical tape possibly even have any effect on NVH?

Right here. I dropped the back end of my '02 SS about 3/4" doing this.

I was going to run the new springs with no isolators, but had a work guy telling me about using tape.

People would put tape on them to keep it quiet and smooth/level them out long enough to sell the car. It will last about a month or two.

Energy Suspesion makes them in urethane. They are inexpensive.

I've got tape on my 04 with no isolators. It doesn't do anything except keep the squeeks and groans away.

Heater hose sounds like a good idea. I think I'll do that one weekend when I get bored.
