  • Motorcraft ASTL9 vs ASTL11

Can anyone tell me difference in specs or usage between the Motorcraft ASTL9 and ASTL11 strut/spring assembly? I read somewhere that the ASTL9 was for trucks with factory 22" wheels.
I have a 2006 F150 2WD 4.6L supercrew. It came with 17" wheels but now has Ford 22" on it. I am doing suspension and if the ASTL9 spring or strut is designed for the 4.6 and 22" (which may not have come on any F150 that year) then maybe it is a better solution than the ASTL11 which I believe to be the stock replacement. I have not found printed differences.

How about ASH809 or ASH787 shocks?
    Anyone use Bilstein 4600s?

    Thanks.

I haven't used Bilsteins on an F150 but I do use them on my work trucks and on my girlfriends 4Runner and could not be happier with their performance. I would not hesitate to use aftermarket bilstein's over a factory replacement shock or strut.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.
