  • Front crank seal

    I want to replace my harmonic balancer on my mustang. Do i need to replace the. Front seal? It does not leak at all. Got me a ford racing sfi damper cheap


    2003 f250
    1990 mustang gt stock 68k miles
    1990 mustang gt 347 t56
    1994 peterbilt 377 dump truck 450hp cat
    1997 freightliner 500hp detriot[/FONT]

    No, it’s outside of the front cover. You will need a puller for the balancer also.

      If you really want to replace a front main, come to my house and do mine... it started leaking.

          Got the tools to replace balancer just did not want to mess with seal if i did t have to. Thanks

            That's cool... but if you're gonna pull the engine I'll expect you to do a thorough cleaning of the engine bay as well.
