  • 03 mustang sitting high need Help with lowered

i have an 2003 mustang gt and i am wanting to drop the back. The previous owner said it could be lowered even more, so i assume that it has aftermarket springs. i noticed it has two spacer like brackets that can be ajusted or removed. is this correct?

Ride height is generally not adjustable unless you have coilovers or weight-jacker type lower arms. Where are these 'spacer brackets' you are talking about?

Take those $10 spacers outta there! Those are junk and should never have been on there in the first place.

Looks like that jam nut will loosen it, from there a pry bar shouldn't take much effort - if even necessary.

I'm guessing they wanted to raise it up or keep it from bottoming out but that is a lame way to do it. Putting those in changes the spring rate (it actually makes it into 2 springs in series) and also puts a lot more stress on the springs where the brackets are.
