If the lifter were "collapsed", it'd sound like a cylinder wasn't firing. i don't hear that in the vid. There is an odd noise, maybe an exhaust leak, but nothing like a dead miss.

    Edit: How's the oil pressure?

Would prob pull VCs and check pushrods and see what the cam lobesand springs look like after that.

It seems like the check ball isn't doing its job, at higher rpm's everything seems fine, once it settles back down to idle the noise comes back, I pulled the passenger valve cover and everything looked and felt normal.

If it's a dead lifter or flat cam, it'll sound like a dead miss, which it doesn't.

I had a sound like that in a 331 stroker, and turned out to be a broken valve spring.

I've seen a pulled rocker stud do that too.
I will not be hard to find after you pull the vs's

All in favor of pulling vc's say aye. Worn lobes don't always cause a miss.

Pull both valve covers and start looking. I have never seen one of the factory lifters collapse but I have seen the spider tray in the valley break and the lifter turn sideways. It will beat the whole roller end off of the lifter and make a sound like that but a broke valve spring, rocker arm or bent pushrod will make the same noise.

Pulled the VC's, rockers, springs, pushrods are all fine, no broken spider tray or rotated lifters. The only thing left at this point is the lifters themselves. I don't understand why a collapsed lifter would cause a dead miss, all that would happen is that the plunger would bottom out and the valve wouldn't open as much as it normally would, the cylinder would still "work". The car didn't lose power or have any other effects other than the noise.

Have you put a vacuum gauge on it? I'd do a cylinder balance test too.

Have you pulled the lifters? The wheels on them tend to lock up after a while too. I'd replace it all.
