im well aware that a 2V can be built to make booku power. ive got several Lightning buddies that made over 600 rwhp and their trucks run 10s.

however, he can make over 600 rwhp in that 4V with stock unported heads and stock cams, and as a bonus he doesnt have to tear the shortblock apart to replace rods. i havent seen too many 2V's running around making over 600 hp on stock heads and cams. actually i havent seen any. and sure, trick flow has a head for 2V now, but thats just more $ that doesnt need to be spent.

so, it just seems to make more financial sense to go the 4V route.

You are correct from a financial stand point...however, I have been making 650+ on my stock heads and cams form some time now. Trick flow didn't offer the 2v head when I broke mine down. I did change the rods out on my shortblock, as previously stated, they are the weak link in the setup.
