  • Are Capri parts worth much ?

I picked up an 85 Capri 5.0 RS today. Running driving car, paints SUCKS. Really just wanted the motor, but now I'm thinking I should put some effort into it and flip it.
I'm sure those back windows are hard to find, but everything else is pretty much mustang ?
    Parts or flip ?

What do you want for it? An 86 5.0 Capri was my first fox body and I have a soft spot for them.

Lots of love for the Capri here:

You're right in thinking that some of those parts are hard to come by. Prices for parts in good condition keeps going up as the supply dwindles but may not bring you big money yet.

Flip it if you can & keep it on the road.

The folks I bought it from were the original owners. Said it has 120k on it. They paid to have and auto transmission put in the car, but it still has the clutch pedal..
Starting to think I need to spray it and clean it up rather than part it..

If you decide to part it, let me know and I'll send you my list.

Sell the car complete to someone who will put it together. Why did you want the engine? I may be mistake but weren't the 85 and 86 5.0s garbage when compared to the 87 and up 5.0s?

Yeah, flip it and grab a better motor from an exploder or something

They are just short pants, or long shorts, either way they are just for women IMO.

If you are going to do it, do it right.

They are only original 1 time in life. Look at all the
rust buckets that peeps are putting back together
                          right now.

It is like the stock market. I know gramps should of
on to those Coka Cola shares....

Alright. Let me get some space in the shop and get this thing cleaned up a bit and see what we got. I know the carb will need rebuilt. Is it worth messing with that Holley, or just stick an Edelbrock on there ? I have an old Edelbrock. I suck at working on Holleys and Im not sure that carb was worth a crap anyway ?
If someone is serious about it, PM me.
