Sounds like the Simple Green's Purple cleaner is gonna be what I'll be using.

46Tbird, does it leave a residue?

Northern Tools has some washer that look a little better made than the HF ones.

The one use is the one from Northern Tools. I thought it was a bit nicer than the ones at HF. The extra shelf for letting the parts dry is a nice feature along with the drain pan. I use 5 gallons of "Crystal"Simple Green with equal amount of water so it is non-flammable. My parts cleaner is on the upper deck right above the Gas water heater. I didn't want any Flammable solvents in case there was a accidental spillage or something that the water heater could ignite.

The most versatile all-purpose cleaner available. Industrial strength, 20% more concentrated than the original formula. Unscented and color free. Spray Bottles available. ULINE offers over 43,000 boxes, plastic poly bags, mailing tubes, warehouse supplies and bubble wrap for your storage, packaging, or shipping supplies.

You can probably find a real nice parts washer on CL with a built in heater cheap. Not sure of the brand but my friend with a shop next to me just got a huge one with a heater in it for like $150. Well worth it.

Yeah I'm kind of really leaning towards a used one but who knows, Santa is around the corner.
