My 90 gt has the #8 fuse missing, the radio not working and dome light. Soni went to check fuses and found it missing. Well as soon as i put one in it pops it. I tried looking for any bad wires but really dont know where to start. Who would you recommend for this type of repair? Thanks

Start by disconnecting things on that circuit. Lights speedo amp radio clock. If you disconnect one and the fuse doesn't pop then that's your problem. Is the radio aftermarket? Was also reading on another board someone had same problem. Turned out a bad ignition switch was the culprit. If it's original it might need replaced.Last edited by Captain Crawfish; 07-28-2016, 10:31 AM.

I use them in some areas, but if his has a direct short, those things can overheat and melt the fuse box, or worse.
marc, I would look at the color of the wire, and start working your way back to the fuse box from the radio/dome lamp. There's bound to be a short somewhere. Ive seen a bad dome light do similar, too. I would pull both parts from power, put a fuse in, and see if it pops. If you have an ohm meter, that would be very helpful."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford
