  • Damaged C5 Corvette Value

I have to sell this thing and really have no idea what it could be worth. I doubt its much considering what clean ones go for these days but was hoping you guys would have some ideas. All of the work was done at Lingenfelter. The car only has 27K on it but from the looks like it hit a curb and then had a front impact. The passenger frame rail is bent and and there is damage to the suspension front and back. The car was in storage for a few years but does start and run. Title is clean and a carfax does not show record of the accident.

I am trying to track down a parts list but the obvious modifications are below. I suspect it may have a cam but can not say for sure.

    Edit: MP112 Supercharger kit
    Headers of some kind
    Borla Exhaust
    Bolt in Cage
    Full Fire System
    Sparco EVO2 Seats
    Lingenfelter marked HRE wheels
    Wilwood front brake kit
    Koni shocks
Oil and trans coolers behind the Z06 ducts
    Blackwing intake

That's a tough one. The really shitty ones go around 4-5K, but IMO a 27K mile blown LS1 is probably worth 3-4K all by itself. I would say it's probably worth around $7k if they can hear it run.

My best guess was also right around that.

What have you got in it? I am a interested buyer.

I'd have to agree, bent frame rail on a vette, probably not worth saving. The kind of buyers on these cars won't even consider it. C5's can be parted out for a pretty penny. Pull that motor and sell it, then part out every single remaining piece, it will probably end up making you 10k easily.

I am sure work from Lingenfelter does not come cheap but no idea what they have into the car.

If you are really interested PM me.

I agree a full part out would provide the best return but just dont have the time.

I'm assuming when you say Lingenfelter, you mean 21st century?

I called 21st century yesterday and they have no record of the car. They dont keep a VIN database though just owner name.

                Waiting on response from Lingenfelter.

Keri is a pretty sharp cookie and remembers just about every car that came through the door back when she worked with her dad. If there is anything distinctive about your car she will probable remember the car if 21st did the work.

It was a male I talked to and he just asked for the owners name. There is some chance it could have been brought in under an employee or assistant of the owner.

I doubt you see many convertibles with a fire suppression system so maybe she would remember that.

It could not hurt to ask. I haven't seen her in 10 years but I used to see her almost weekly; not even sure if she is still there on a day to day basis.

Yup bet you could get 6k for that motor. I'll give you a nice ls6 intake for the supercharger!

Parting it out would be a last resort.
