I'm sure there is already a tread, I'm just to lazy to look for it. I have an 88 that I would like to convert. Who on here has done it, or would like to do it. LMR has a kit, but they want $700. I also herd Auto Zone has a kit for $30, but I have read some bad reviews.

Ive done tons of convesions (did 2 last week) and buying the LMR kit isn't necessary to get it done. Just do a new compressor/liquid line/high side/accumulator and flush the evaporator/condenser and your good to go. I can do the conversation also. You should be able to get the car in the mid to lower 40's at the vents.
