I believe the pressure readings on the gauges were like the ones in the chart, will double check again and check out the cycle timing

Say you hit the dew point or the temp that clouds form.
Last week that was about 75ish degrees. If the air flow across
the evap was restricted from max air flow, say plugged up or low fan settings,
then water that is accumulating at a faster than normal rate freezes.

In SlowBoxes pics, the evap is clogged pretty good. When you put the guages on
initially you can have great pressure readings or it works GREAT!

BTW does it have a cabin air filter?

Does the compressor cycle every 20-30 seconds? Fans coming on both high and low?

no compressor wont kick in for like 20min, once it kicks in it stays on for good

Sounds electrical to me. Compressor should cycle not stay on. Is the High pressure switch original? I would replace it

what i've learned with 134a . once you pass the charged level it goes in reverse. this is why shops have high dollar machines that remove then weigh freon to put back. when i install a unit i add the first can then slowly add watching the vent temp. many vintage air setups will not work right if you just slam it in. different length of hoses .
but yours being a factory unit it still may be touchy.
the pic of the evap is why you do not haul dogs around with you all the time. they shed and it sucks it into the evap.

would the evap core still get that clogged up if it was in the engine bay? that's where mine is located

Doubt it clogged up. At 100 ambient 50-60 out of your vents is just fine. You won't get it any cooler than that no matter what you do.

Pressure shows to be 110 on the low side when hooked up trying to add freon before compressor kicks on
