  • warranty friendly mods for a 15GT

Just ordered a cat back exhaust for our 2015 GT, and am already thinking about what to do next. But seeing as I'm not choo choo rich, and don't want to void to much of the warranty, what mods are there that won't violate my good standing with FoMoCo?
performance not aesthetic. I like the way it looks, just want some forr feel and pep.

Lower it, best thing I have done besides the exhaust. Don't waste money on an intake unless you are going to tune it, get a steeda or mgw shifter. Which exhaust did you order?

Anybody do a resonator delete? If so did you go X or H? Thoughts on the sound with the stock mufflers?

A shifter is first on my list of shit to change. The stock one is a total pos.

Get the steeda clutch spring too, it is supposed to make a huge difference for like $30.

I just did a catback, I wanted to go to 3".

I went Corsa Xtreme cat back. How much does the spring help? damn the clutch is the only thing I really don't like about the car.

Don't know if I want to lower it though, I like being able to tackle speed bumps and such.

AEM makes(ed) a no tune intake that gives a little HP, but looks fantastic.

Drive the ranger then the mustang. The mustang will feel twice as fast then.

"Warranty Friendly" means wheels, tires, springs, shifter, and mufflers.

Even if you get one of the "doesn't need a tune" cold air kits, you're still going to get some looks from the guys at the dealership over it.

I know you said you're happy with the car, but if I had an S550 I'd absolutely HAVE to lower it.

The dealer didn't give 2 shits about my intake. Also they cannot blanket void your warranty because you added performance parts. They have to prove that the part you added caused what ever it was that broke to fail.

                        low blow man. lol
the mustang isn't much faster than the truck, but it sure as hell stops and turns 1000x better. I'm thinking that for nothing more than shits and giggles, this year I'm going to autoX the ranger. lol

I wouldn't mind it, but I kinda ruined the wife on lowered cars when I slammed her last fox vert. It was too low, and now she doesn't want another lowered car. I think If I give her some time after the exhaust she will warm to the idea.

You're not teaching me anything new about Magnuson-Moss.

All I'm saying is dealers used to get abused by warranty claims on ragged out shitboxes. Now they'll put up a fight more often than not. The next dealership you take it to may not be so lenient, and they could deny the warranty on your whole car. Then you get to decide if it's worth escalating from there.

I thought the 'no tune' CAIs usually hurt power since the filter element is open to the underhood heat. Just what I've heard.

Is anyone making good shocks for those yet? If these are anything like the old cars that would certainly be the first thing I would change.

The AEM one for my 2014 was enclosed. I really doubt it added any power, but it sure looked nice.
