  • Valve Spring Pressure Tester

Anyone got one I can use/borrow to test some valve springs?

I have one that tests the spring pressure with the rocker arm still on the car like in the link below. It is supposedly inaccurate from what people say but it could be useful if you wanted to compare one spring to another.

I don't think that'll work. I'm Looking for an accurate measurement of some springs I have that I'm hoping to use with a cam I got. The cam I have calls for 360ish pound springs but the springs I have are double springs with a dampener (comp 954s) rated at 500 something for the set. I was hoping that the outside springs with the dampeners but without the inner springs would be in right ballpark for the cam specs. I called comp 3 times tring to get an answer, but they don't know shit because the springs are listed as one part.

Guess I'll just find a machine shop or something that can measure them.

Yea, you are going to need someone with one of the bench testers for that.
