    What are some good headers for some GT40 Heads? Looks for some shorties!

    Will headers for GT40P's the same? Sorry for the stupid questions...

    all headers will fit GT40. Most longtubes will fit gt40p, but most shorties wont.

              I fox had shorties on it when I bought it. I ended up putting long tubes on it when I put on my GT-40's. If you're going to spend the money you might as well put LT's on it.

                    Are you going to port them? I did a simple gasket match port job in the garage and it opened them up quite a bit. It's pretty cheap and can be done with a dremel or rotary tool.

                      I dont think any of the iron heads had the offset bolt pattern. I think those were the old J heads or something.

                        Most likely...they are currently sitting on stock manifolds..so I think I'm going with FRP shorties.

                        I dont want to go LT's until I get better heads.

                          On one hand, it can be argued that lower end power is better with shorties on a small head like the gt40, and on the other, why buy headers twice?
