    I have cylinder damage on my 06 F150. I've priced Jasper for a reman, but thought there might be a source on the board for one.
    Anyone on here run a auto salvage yard that might have a donor motor?
    It happens to be a well thought out and reasoned dissertation on drug use and a lyrical cost/benefit analysis of various kinds of drugs, drawing the conclusion that beer is the best of them all.

      Found a donor out of an 08 for $1500 so I may end up going that route.

        I'd strongly recommend buying a reman for that and from someone that uses new phasers. Jasper is about $400 higher than everyone else so shop around.

          I can beat jasper by a couple hundred bucks, but that used is a few hundred cheaper than I would be able to do.

            Only reason I was considering Jasper is the 100k mile/ 3 year warranty.

              Yeah, I generally try to sell a reman over a used on the 3v stuff, the phasers are an issue on those, and it's generally caused by too few oil changes combined with cheap filters. They can be replaced and last several thousand miles, but the oil passages are small, and them getting clogged isnt something you can fix without a rebuild.

              We're 3yr/unlimited on warranty for reman.

                  if not getting new phasers, you might want to look into the livernois phaser lockout kit (i think thats the name)

                    If you go with a used motor, take a little time to make sure timing chain guides are intact. Sucks putting one in to have noise and codes and have to argue from supplier that is not normal and its the issue. Then after pulling covers to prove it, you don't get paid to pull back out. Lotta wasted time. We carry Jasper and can check price also tommorrow also if ya like
