SBC headers

Just getting into building my first sbc for my truck thought I'd see if anyone here had some advice on this. Is there a difference between shorty sbc headers for tbi trucks vs shorties for a vortec sbc truck?

Ive had some people tell me as long as their for the same body ie (88-98) they will work regardless whether its tbi or vortec. Just lookin to save a few bucks more less the ones for the older trucks are cheaper.

96+ trucks had two catalytic converters. If you aren't planning on having emissions then it shouldn't make a difference.

No cats on this build. I'm either gonna look at what exhaust kits are out there for this truck or modify my existing y pipe.

I used hedman long tubes in the last one I did. They actually fit good and weren't expensive
