I was trying to adjust timing on my mustang and when i went to grab the distributor it shocked the crap out of me...lol its has bew cap and rotor but the msd wires are about 5 yrs old with maybe 100 miles. I have the msd blaster 2 coil also. I tried running at knight looking for it to arc but it didnt. Could my wire just be weak

Well seems i found my problem. I checked the wires and they all looked good. My car has the battery in the hatch. So i started to check ground cables on chassis to engine block. Found corrosion on both wire. Clean one up and the other swapped for a new one. Well that fixed it. Even my alternator guage is steady now and lights brighter
