Did you move or adjust or remove anything else? Seems like the vibration issues started after you moved the transmission to check for a leak?

              How is the transmission mount?

I would still look at alignment front to back, side to side, and angles between the rear diff and transmission.

Are all the bolts tight? (Driveline, bellhousing, cross member, transmission to cross member)

Start working backwards and checking, rechecking and make adjustments if needed.

An aluminum driveshaft would take out vibrations, as well as having yours balanced, but if it isn't the driveshaft making the vibrations, start looking elsewhere.

Like I said, everything was good before you moved the transmission. If everything went back together like it was, you should not be having these issues with vibrations.

              Just my thoughts.

well from what i am being told is the driveshaft i have was for a auto not a 5spd so that could be part of the problem the shaft that slides into the trans seem loose. i never really got to really test the car til i got it reg and insured a few weeks ago. so i am not really sure if i would have had this vib before or after i moved it. i would like to find a 5spd shaft just to try out and see if that is the problem. you know eleminate that part

If you are planning on keeping the car, just put an aluminum driveline in and be done with the driveline. They run right around $300.

Or, check junk yards. Be sure to count the splines on the output shaft. There are 28 and 31 spline shafts.

Sorry, I don't know if there really is a difference between auto and 5spd drivelines since all I have ever dealt with is a 5spd.

Are there any other mods to the drive train? Like a panhard bar or torque arm?

Ok so the drive shaft slides in perfect and doesn't really have any play when you turn the shaft. Idk Guess I will drive it till it breaks.

ok so i just put the 7.5 rearend back in the car. same issue 65+ vibration. could the issue be because i dont have quad shocks on the car? i dont think the tranny is bad cause when you press the clutch in put it in nuetral it is still doing it till it gets to about 60 or lower.i am at so clueless right now i dont know what to do. this car was originally a v6 auto. i dropped a 5.0 in it so where should i look now?

could it be a bad pilot bearing ?

How bad is the vibration? Could it be a bad wheel maybe? Out of balance wheel? Do you notice the vibration in the whole car or just the front or rear? Is the alignment good? What kind of shape is the rear end in? Axles? Not sure a pilot bearing would give a vibration but could be wrong.

Is the vibration constant or does it get more, then less? What about when you brake?

I would have put my money on a bad diff to transmission angle, u-joints, or out of balance drive shaft.

I know after I put the watts link and torque arm on, I had vibrations at speed. The angles were off a little, so after adding some shims and putting in an aluminum drive shaft, no more vibrations.

A lot of this is going to be trial and error I guess. Take it step by step and little at a time.
