Any recommendations on where to take the rack and pinion out of the fox to get rebuilt. I would rather not buy a reman just so that I can have the original unit.

I have a rebuilt unit from http://www.agrperformance.com/.
The fellow there is slow and very frustrating.
If you can get the equivalent from a speed shop, do it.
The guy that owns the place is great to talk to and a wealth of info
but, his customer service sucks.
As for the power rack, KILLER!!!
Get a new pump too (I have an extra ps pump from them too).
Get a new return hose as the old one can leak air back into the system and can
be the source of whining in power steering systems.
