Any recommendations on a transmission shop to rebuild my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with a 68rfe? I would prefer somebody near Forney. TIA.

OP: I doubt you'll find an aftermarket builder out there for this trans, most places don't even build 48REs. You should be able to find a reman in the $2500 range though and the core value is through the roof on that thing. I'd call a few different dealers and beat them down on price then find a deal on R&R. You'll need to have a dealer program it though regardless.

R&R? Do you know of any dealers? I called one shop that quoted $3800. The core is high on these, I've noticed that while pricing the big performance guys. I've dropped this Trans twice in my shop at the house to replace the flex plate it's no fun but I'll do it to save that kind of money. Hell, the junk yard wanted $2500 for one with 60k miles and if I remember right still had a $1500 core. Thank you for your reply.

Ive had great luck with Mike's Trick Shift in Weatherford on mine."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford
