  • Car Alarm neutral Safety module

Does anyone know if there's an upgrade to the DEI 689m that now has been discontinued? If not, is there another brand that does the same thing? Thanks!

I'm not aware of an alternative. DEI does not need it anymore since their new models include manual start capability.

Is AUTOPAGE RS-730 manual safe? If not which models are? Thanks

730 or higher end will do manual.

I'm not reading anywhere in the 730 manual stating it's manual safe. Ex. If the car was set in first gear it won't start. Pretty much like the 689m module does.

This is for a 1988 GT Mustang 5speed.

They do not put the manual start info in their installation manual because they do not want dumbasses trying it.

Also, it does not detect that the car is in gear. It requires that you go through an exit procedure where you leave the car running in neutral when you get out. When you arm the car, it shuts down the engine.
