Currently I have a ford block 347 stroker in my 69 with 185cc aluminum heads making about 500hp and 520 ft lbs at the crank but I am afraid the block will be short lived so I am building a Dart block 363 to replace it. Since it is nearly bulletproof I figured why not add a blow thru turbo setup as well. I have had 2 different turbo cars in the past but they were factory setups.
I have a few questions:
#1 Should I go with larger volume heads, like AFR 205 or will the 185's be enough. This is a street car that will go the the track every few months for fun. At what point will the heads become a limiting factor under boost?
#2 what turbo for this combo to get about 600 wheel hp at 12 to 15 lbs of boost? I want a single and am currently looking at a precision 76mm but what trim? I will not run a trans brake on my c4 so I want good spool with a 2700 converter.
