Not sure what's up with Watt, I guess he doesn't want to mess with anything less than exotic, I asked him about balancing my rot assy and he didn't reply. What a damn shame.

He's one of the best around. I guess when you get more work than you can handle you can pick and choose for the expensive stuff.

Maybe I will go up there and talk to him, so he knows that I'm not a tire kicker, i'd like to have a good machine shop 5 mins from my house.

Let me translate my earlier post. Watt is building all of T1 motorsports 2000hp GTR engines. They are smaller, lighter, new(no rusted bolts), and they pay a LOT for his service. I don't know how much other stuff he does but it sounds like they keep him pretty busy.

You will be wasting your time. I brought my block and all new parts to him in person and no luck. Trust me and lots of other people and let Morgan and son do it.

I second Rick at metroplex machine shop. He had my work done in a few days but the impressive part was how attentive and interested he was in my piddly little shit when he had multiple veeeery high dollar motors sitting in his shop at the same time.

Believe it or not, i go to city motor on harry hines for block prep. Been there for my last three builds. its like $230-250 for the performance prep. they use a cnc milling machine. they are the only ones i know of around here that have one. pretty damn good work actually. nothing has blown up and everything always looks good when i take it apart. I havent had them do any balancing yet, but probably will on the next build just because they are so damn cheap and the work they have done so far have been great. they'll get that bolt out too and helicoil it if needed

Wells will have a similar reaction to Watt about working on stock Ford stuff. At least he did a few years ago when I took a BBF there, though he did eventually do the work.

Watts good. I actually bought my foxbody from him, had him do some head work on it and ran like a monster!

Watt is on to bigger and better things with the ferrari's, lambo's and gtr's and other various over head cam stuff. He doesn't touch much of anything cast iron or pushrod anymore.

                                Rick at Metroplex Machine.
