  • Clutch slip?

I'm not too familiar with the T5 and its components so I wouldn't know if the clutch on this 95 is beginning to malfunction. That being said, I hope I can explain wtf is going on with the thing.
At take off, the RPM's will shoot up to about 2k before it actually starts to move. Same thing goes for all gears. I floored it this morning to gain some speed for the on ramp and I redlined the damn thing before it actually gained any speed. Would this be a trans problem? The whole damn thing might have about 10k since rebuild and I'm not a T5 bad ass so I don't abuse the trans, don't know how. Thanks, bro.
(I hope I don't have to post this in the back porch)

I noticed this yesterday and today was about the same. I've been having rpm and power issues for a longtime but now the RPM's are surging because I'm trying to accelerate.

it could be a cable issue but that would probably make it to where the clutch wouldn't release instead of the problem yours is having. put it in 3rd gear and try to take off if it wont do it the clutch is junk and needs replaced. I sold my car a long time ago but I did replace my clutch with a centerforce dual friction and pedal pressure was about the same but you could tell it was a better clutch.

I haven't noticed a difference in pedal pressure. I'll try taking off on 3rd when I leave work tonight. This morning, I went from 1-3 and that car just kept going at the same slow pace without any hesitation. It just didn't want to move and it was at about 3k rpm. I'm sure my neighbors appreciated it

A little well placed oil will get it to feel like a Power Glide with an extra gear...

              Clutch slip?

Are you saying that I might be low on fluid?
I pulled out of my parking spot today and while in reverse, the car didn't begin to move until about 2500rpm. I stopped in the parking lot and took off in 3rd gear. It didn't begin to move till about 2500 rpm, again. Is it normal for a clutch to go out after 10k miles?

                Clutch slip?

So I guess it is the clutch. I was parked on an incline and when I released the break, the car began to roll backwards. The car was off and still in gear.......where can a bro get his clutch replaced?

                  Fox Body Clutch

I put a Center Force Dual Friction and a new aluminum flywheel in a fox coupe with a 331 stroker. (Street car only) I used a Steeda cable assembly and sector. The clutch is super smooth and has a very acceptable pedal feel. Even with the high lift cam and the light flywheel, it works very well.

Well, alright. Looks like there's one of them fancy clutches in there now. Reckon I'll replace it with something more stock. I'm not going to race wars any time soon...
