  • Power glide shifting issues

I have a 98 cobra with a new 2 speed powerglide in it. The pos will not shift into 2nd gear when I'm stomping on it. Normal driving applications, it shifts fine. However, When I bump it in high rpms, it acts like a neutral shift. Any suggestions on what's wrong with it and who I can take it to that does legitimate quality work. This car has turned into a horrendous money pit and I'm tired of spending good money after bad and haven't even got one pass out of it yet.

new from who, take it back. The place in kennidale on old 287 has a tranny dyno. it cuts out all the bs of putting it in and finding out somethings ratfucked.

I'm sure you are sure the fluid level is correct and if it has a deep pan the pickup is the right height but that's what I would check first. the correct arm hole on the shifter lever with the correct adjustment. not many people can fuckup a powerglide build, a faulty install is more likely.
