  • Manual brakes

So ive converted to manual brakes using the $80 kit from latemodelresto
and have the original master cylinder.
Needless to say it has a super stiff pedal and have to stand on it to stop.
i google'd but couldnt get a straight answer on what m/c i should use.
    looks like i need a 7/8 bore

anyone running this setup on their car ? what m/c are you using

On the 68 I put a 7/8 m/c from a 1 inch to get a "softer" pedal after I put front disc on the car. I put an adjustable valve to get the front to rear bias back.

It helped, but they are still manual brakes. What year car?

I like a short travel, hard pedal. Now it's a little longer pedal but softer.

It the wife's hot rod and that what she wanted.

You need to move the rod on the peddle as well.

If you do rear disk, it should help out a lot.

            That's what I've read however.

the factory manual brake cars have a different brake pedal

your pedal assembly already has the holes drilled for it
