I searched for aje drop mounts, but came up short.

                Hmm.

It would be easy to make mounts for a aje k member. Stupid easy.

All they are is a flat peice with some tabs welded on and one gusset. Hell they dont even bother to weld both sides just the outside.

Seems like an awful lot of trouble when you can find a factory 4.8/5.3 GM motor that will run just as well if not better using the same turbo parts.

I agree with you, but you're forgetting the added costs of a harness, trans and stall. Which blows the 351w budget out of the water.

I would say spend the extra $400 on a scat or eagle cast stroker crank for your build so You won't have to do it a year from now. Turbo will come in so much quicker.
Longer rod and stroke = more fuel/air in, more hot air out and most importantly...more dwell at TDC making sure everything gets combusted and more energy is created on the power stroke.

                              1500$ rotating assembly? + hardware.

unless the stock rods and stock 302 pistons will hold up. LOL

Mike I have right at $1k in my 347 rotating assy. Don't buy a "kit". I pieced it together.
Scat 9000 crank, scat H Beam rods, King coated bearings and speed pro pistons/Mahle file fit rings.
Granted my pistons are Hypers but I picked them on purpose. They were over 100 grams lighter than the forged. I know they will handle more than my block will so I chose lighter to help the block live longer.
